Giving Back to Our Local Community- The Edumed Trust
We not only provide kenya safaris. One of the aspects of Vie Safari that we are the most proud of is the fact that we are able to give back to our local community.
Each year, we pick a non-profit to give to! During the period 2011/2012, Vie Safari is giving back to The Edumed (Education and Medical) Trust, a Kenyan charitable trust established in 1996 with the sole objective of supporting bright students from needy families with tuition fees for their secondary education. In supporting such students, Edumed not only helps them realize their life aspirations but also helps reduce poverty and crime that is rampant amongst the uneducated.
As of December 2010, Edumed Trust had supported a total of 195 students in Kenya. The first student beneficiary graduated from the University of Nairobi with Bachelor of Science in Mathematics on 1st September 2006 and many others have since completed University Education and found employment in Kenya. As a matter of fact, a number of them are already giving back to society through Edumed Trust!
