African Cats
Looking to experience Africa without having to trek across the globe? Disney Nature’s motion picture African Cats offers viewers a realistic and fascinating glimpse into some of nature’s most majestic creatures as well as breathtaking scenes and images of Kenya.
African Cats tells the story of two families (a pride of lions and a mother cheetah and her cubs) as they seek to make a home in “the wildest place on Earth”. Viewers experience the day-to-day routines and obstacles these animals encounter, from heart-pounding hunts to vicious fights and everything in between. The mothers must protect and provide for their young in a land without rules.
The film is also charitably conscious; in an effort to preserve Kenya’s Amboseli Wildlife Corridor, a portion of profits from the film were donated to the African Wildlife Foundation. Ticket sales from the movie led to 50,000 acres of land saved in Kenya. African Cats is the perfect escape to a faraway place, giving an unprecedented look into the lives of some of the most magnificent animals in the world.
