Photographic Safari, headed to Kenya in April of 2013!

We are thrilled to annouce Vie Safari's Photographic Safari, headed to Kenya in April of 2013!

Kenya is one of the best locations in the world for wildlife photography. In Kenya, there exist national parks with animals and birds that you won’t find in the wild outside of Africa! In April, 2013, Vie Safari will be leading a 10-day photographic safari, specializing in capturing images of all the incredible wildlife that East Africa has to offer. In addition, the safari will travel to Kakamega, in Western Kenya, to visit and assist with community projects underway with our partner non-profit, Just One Person.

We believe that photographers should visit several different parks to get a full understanding of the vast amount of wildlife photography available in the country, as well as connect with the local Kenyan community to get a full understand of the culture.

This safari is open to all levels of photographers and will be led by Molly Milroy, photographer, and Vie Safari guide, John.

Below, you will find the photography itinerary for the Vie Safari Photographic Safari. Please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to reserve your spot!

Kenya dominates the Boston Marathon!

You've probably heard, but we have to brag: The top winners in the Boston Marathon male and female divisions were all Kenyan!

Held on the third of April every year, this prestigious race holds the unique title of being the world’s oldest annual marathons, the first of which occurred in the year 1897. Furthermore, it is one of the five World Marathon Majors (the others of which take place in Berlin, Chicago, London, and New York).

Managed by the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.), the course runs a little over 26 miles of hilly New England roads; and this year’s race was an unseasonably hot one.

An average April day in Boston comprisesof 47 degrees Fahrenheit but this year the race finished in the mid-70s!

That didn’t stop Wesley Korir, 29, or Sharon Cherop, 28, both Kenyan natives, to finish in first place with the impressive times of 2:12:41 and 2:31:50.

Second and third place in the men’s division was awarded to Levy Matebo, 22, with atime of 2:13:06 and Bernard Kipyego, 25, with a time of 2:13:13. In the women’s division, second placewas awarded to Jemima Jelagat Sumgong, 27, finishing at 2:31:52 and Giorgino Rono, 31, in third with a time of 2:33:09; notably all Kenyan natives.

Way to represent Kenya, team!
