Ahead of you lie the shimmering plains that stretch away to the colorful boarder point of Namanga (you can ponder the source of the colors!) Further along the drive you can catch a clear view of the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Then we will head south to the Amboseli National Park. At the park we will go on afternoon game drive, on the drive you will see a wealth of wildlife – particularly elephants.
The day will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay at the lavish park lodge, where you will enjoy uninterrupted views of the grandiose mountain.

Day 2: Amboseli
You will have a second opportunity to view the wildlife in the park during morning and afternoon game drives.
You will finish out your stay in the picturesque park with dinner and all-inclusive overnight stay at the park lodge.

Upon arrival, we will have lunch at a local Nairobi restaurant.
Later, we will travel north of Nairobi through the pineapple dominated town of Thika and through the colorful market of Karatina (East Africa’s largest open air market). Soon we’ll be in Nyeri  (the central provincial capital) and then the plush Outspan Hotel – set in beautiful gardens with views of Mt. Kenya. The hotel was the last home of Lord Baden Powel, founder of the Boy Scout movement. You’ll eat lunch at the hotel and later be transported to the Treetops lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. This magnificent lodge is strategically sited right in front of a watering hole and salt lick, where you will be able to view elephants, buffalo, rhinos and more.
(Further note that warm clothing is advisable as nights tend to be chilly. Only an overnight bag is required for your stay at Treetops. The rest of the luggage is stored at Outspan).

Day 4: Drive to Samburu Game Reserve
Your day will start with a snack at Treetops followed by a proper breakfast when you arrive back at Outspan. From here we will cross the Equator line on our drive to Nanyuki – the main town close to Mt. Kenya.  Then we will drive north to the dusty outpost of Isiolo- the last major stop on the journey into the remote Northern frontier district. From here it is a fairly short outing to your destination in the heart of the Samburu Game Reserve.
You may have lunch at the place of your choice followed by some relaxation time at one of the opulent lodges in the area.
On an afternoon game drive, you will see game like long-necked gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa Oryx and leopard.

Once you arrive at your plush Masai Mara lodge and eat lunch, you are invited to take a short siesta before the excitement the rest of the day will bring!
On an afternoon game drive, you will see an abundance of lions and other animals. Game abounds here more particularly during the migration, as millions of wild beasts and zebras make their way back and forth across the river Mara. The spectacular colors of the sunset will announce your return to the lodge for dinner and overnight accommodations.
